About Us

Wills Family Orchard, located just outside of Adel and only 20 minutes from West Des Moines, offers a fun and memorable fall experience for families looking to spend the day together outdoors. With a wide variety of activities set across a beautiful countryside farm, it’s a place where kids can play, explore, and make lasting memories—while parents can enjoy the experience right alongside them.

Families can pick their own apples, search for the perfect pumpkin, and take a scenic hayride through the orchard pulled by an antique tractor. Kids can climb, explore, and play in the Fields of Fun—our nature-based play area tucked into the timber and featuring a low-ropes course. Guests can also wind their way through the maze, visit barnyard animals, and discover something new around every corner.

Throughout the farm, activities are thoughtfully placed to create a natural flow, making it easy for families to stay together and enjoy everything the orchard has to offer. The on-farm bakery and kitchen serve fresh cider, apple cider donuts, baked goods, and lunch favorites to fuel the day.
